Internship Sites
Throughout the course of my internship, I have been fortunate enough to have a well-rounded variety of experiences. The Hult Center for Healthy Living at Illinois Cancer Care was a community site but involved clinical aspects as well. WIC was another community site. Foodservice rotations were with the Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality (EMDH) department at Illinois State University in addition to OSF St. Joseph Medical Center. Finally, clinical rotations utilizing medical nutrition therapy practices took place at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center and Memorial Medical Center.

HULT CENTER FOR HEALTHY LIVING - ILLINOIS CANCER CARE
Peoria, IL
The Hult Center is a non-profit organization that provides health education and wellness service, classes, and programs. They have numerous locations, including inside Illinois Cancer Care in Peoria. My rotations took place at numerous Illinois Cancer Care sites: Peoria, Bloomington, Canton, Galesburg, Ottawa, Pekin, and Peru, IL.
WOMEN, INFANTS, AND CHILDREN (WIC)
Bloomington, IL
WIC is a federal program for women, infants, and children up to age 5. WIC promotes nutrition and health through education and health services, encourages prenatal care, supports breastfeeding, and works with family case managers and medical staff for the well-being of clients.

OSF ST. JOSEPH MEDICAL CENTER (OSF-SJMC)
Bloomington, IL
OSF-SJMC is a Magnet-designated Catholic hospital that is part of the larger integrated health system, OSF HealthCare. This facility has 149 licensed beds and serves patients in the area of Bloomington-Normal, IL. In addition to its cafeteria, the facility also delivers room service meals to patients. OSF-SJMC is also equipped with dietitians to provide inpatient clinical medical nutrition therapy.
MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTER
Springfield, IL
Memorial Medical Center is a Magnet-designated teaching hospital with 500 licensed beds. It provides inpatient and outpatient care and is equipped with several dietitians for medical nutrition therapy and nutrition support.

WESTMINSTER VILLAGE
Bloomington, IL
Westminster Village is a long-term care facility that includes assisted and independent living apartments. The facility also includes Martin Health Center, which offers long-term and short-term care. Equipped with multiple kitchens and dining rooms, this facility provides all meals to residents.
EVENT MANAGEMENT, DINING, AND HOSPITALITY (EMDH) AT ILLINOIS STATE UNIVERSITY
Normal, IL
EMDH is the largest department under the Division of Student Affairs and is in charge of managing events, dining services, and hospitality services across several facilities on the campus of Illinois State University.
